This explains what we do with the information you send us through this site. It is short because we collect very little.
GB Studios is the trading name of GBSTUDIOBUILDS LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17539748. We design, build and support broadcast, virtual production and podcast studios, and we are the data controller for the information described here. Contact us at info@gbstudios.co with any question about this notice, or to exercise any of the rights below.
If you send an enquiry, we receive what you typed into the form:
We use it to answer you and, if the project goes ahead, to quote and deliver the work. The lawful basis is legitimate interests: you contacted us about a project, and replying is what you expect. If you book a call, Calendly handles that booking and the details you give it.
We do not sell your data, share it for marketing, or add you to a mailing list because you enquired. The site sets no cookies at all — not for advertising, not for analytics, not for anything else. We measure pages viewed, how far down people scroll and which buttons get pressed, with nothing that identifies you; where a form event is recorded it carries the studio type, budget and timeline you selected, never your name, email or message.
That measurement runs twice over: once to our own server, and once to Google Analytics, which is configured so that consent for storage is refused before it loads. In that mode it writes no cookie and cannot recognise you from one visit to the next; what it receives is the page, the referrer, the approximate location your IP address implies, and your browser and device type. That is why there is no cookie banner on this site: there is nothing on it to consent to.
Only the suppliers that run the site, our measurement and our email: Railway, which hosts it; Google Analytics, which receives the anonymous measurement described above; Google Workspace, which carries our mail; and Calendly, if you book a call. Each processes the data on our instructions. We may also share information where the law requires it.
Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted within two years. Where we are engaged, we keep project correspondence for as long as we support the studio, and then for the six years that UK tax and contract record-keeping requires.
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, object to our using it, or ask us to restrict that use. Email info@gbstudios.co and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
